But at the same time, we can be forgiving because we also understand that nothing is perfect. Once in a while though, there are events that we just choose to walk away from because it is more difficult to watch the imperfections than it is to enjoy the show. Such was the recent Ms. World Philippines. We only watched half of the pageant. Away from the tourist destinations, the streets of India is where its real heart and soul lie. The true character of the nation, its people and its way of life can clearly be captured with photographs. As an emerging super power, it baffles the mind to hardly see any signs of prosperity on the streets. India is a lovely place to be a tourist in, but also makes us appreciate all the luxuries we enjoy in our own countries. Jaipur is considered the Pink City of India because most of the buildings are painted in that color as a sign of welcome. Although Agra is most famous because of Taj Mahal, we found the sites in Jaipur to be the best among the three. Amber Palace, in particular, was most interesting with its rooms having different themes. It is also where the world's biggest sun dial, a UNESCO world heritage site, is located. Best of all, it is where we got to ride an elephant. A fitting last stop of our remarkable Indian adventure. A must-visit for any tourist is obviously Agra where the world famous Taj Mahal is located. Long considered as one of the wonders of the world, its almost perfectly symmetrical architecture is a sight to behold. Its white marble shimmering under the heat of the sun - an undying testimony of one man's love for his soulmate - such is the magic of Taj Mahal. India is a mystical place. While many people seem to be turned off at the notion of visiting India, it is, nonetheless, a place that offers tourist an experience that is unlike any other. From the places, to the food, to the people and their culture, it is really quite unlike any place we have visited before. Armed with the right frame of mind of enjoying each and every aspect of the country, we ended up with India as up there in our list of travel destinations. Here is our first day in New Delhi. Do people ever tire of Disneyland. Never losing the child within, a trip to the happiest place on earth is always a treat. Young or old, big or small, there is a thrill that comes from seeing all those characters that have been part of growing up. For our team, this is a great way to learn from the greatest ... the people of Walt Disney.
Our main agenda in going to Hong Kong was to go to the Food Expo which we are visiting for a second time after 7 or 8 years. We were surprised at how big it has gotten from that time, proof that Hong Kong still attracts a huge exhibition following. Such learning experiences keep our staff on their toes and provides us tons of ideas on how to continually better our own events.
Hong Kong streets are awash with interesting sights and sounds. The city has so much more to offer than its renowned shopping experience. Not everything comes at a price either. Here are samples of places and sights one can visit and it would cost absolutely nothing to enjoy them ... one only needs to have eyes wide open.  | Guestbook | |
